This being the first night in a week I will not be working at 1 in the morning, I'd like to celebrate by doing a blog (isn't that sad? :( )
I can't even remember when my last blog was. OK, I got it. Well, my last week was hectic. I've been catching up with lots of work I put upon myself, including the web page/application and some setup guides and labs for MSDN courses. It's been mostly the web page. For example, yesterday I worked from 9 to 0 hours, approx. Today, I woke up at 9:30, and worked from 10 to til about an hour ago. Well, the web page is now, I think, 80% functional
, meets 75% of the security requirements
, and has about 2.3% visual flair
. I spent all day today dealing with permissions and management, but I T H A S B E E N S L O W.
I really hope I get better and faster for future web pages... I just feel kind of lost right now with it.
Well, my week was something like this:
- Monday: Got up, left with mom, class at 8:40. Finished class at 10:30, I think I came back home to work on the web page, spent all day til 5 working, then left with MM to the Communications class. Which was pretty good, I must admit, since a really important guy from the SIT (Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones) came and talked to us about how big business telecommunication things work. He showed us that Guatemala was one of the countries with the fastest increase rate in cell phones in, maybe... well, one of the top countries. Then we came back home and I worked web page til 1 or 2 in the morning.
- Tuesday: Got up, left with dad, he dropped me off at the Resi, picked up Bidkar & Aceytuno, and took 2 buses to work(I got to hang off the Peronia for about 10 minutes (YAY!)). We even got there like 10 minutes early. At work, this guy called Oscar has been telling us to do a program to retrieve files (OOPS, I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK ABOUT IT). OK, changing the subject... I left at 12 straight, went back home, and worked more on the web page. I did so until maybe a quarter to 4, when I left with MM to my European Literature class. I fell asleep in the class, and then went back home and continued working til 1 or 2 too.
- Wednesday: Got up, left with MM, got there at 8:10 or so, waited til 8:40 for my Env. Sciences class, did nothing meaningful there NO, WAIT! I read Harry Potter there, I think. That WAS meaningful. Later I went straight to the E building to practice my piano lessons. I have this piano method book with which I'm learning, and I'm supposed to be able to play it all this next Wednesday. Anyway, I was able to play some more, I learned how to play on the Sol scale (Now I know what the big fuss about scales is all about!) (Sol is G, for those who don't know). I played til 12:15, and then I went swimming!! (YAY!) I had not gone swimming since... at least a month, I think. The water temperature was perfect, and the pool itself was practically crystal-clear (Not like it was in June, green as moss, algae and white stuff growing on the bottom, almost viscous.) I was expecting to see Lucia there, but I didn't. I swam like, maybe, half a km. Then I showered (SURPRISE SURPRISE HOT WATER!!!!!), and left for my piano lesson. My teacher got there, gave me 15 minutes worth of class, and then made me leave. (Oh yeah, I only get 15 minutes of piano class a week. Cool, huh?) Later, I met Henry Monzón at the cafeteria, talked a while with him and with Maestro (Luis Fernando Calderón), ate some (well, lots) of Maestro's french fries, and then took a ride back to the Resi with this guy called... Romel, I think. He's in my Env. Sciences class. Got home, and just worked more on my web page til 1 or 2 in the morning. I read some Harry Potter too, and I finished it too, I think. I really think J.K Rowling's a good writer... I even felt something like "I don't want to leave Hogwarts!" when I finished it. Fabulously written, very descriptive. And.. that was it for Wednesday.
I think I'll do the rest of my week on another blog... it's getting too slow on this one...
