only once the dusty floors are swept
the grime cleared off the marble
the crystal windows are washed
and the storm has stilled
can the sun's rays pierce and shine brightly
and illuminate the temple's true beauty.
only once the body has been purified
the emotions have been cleansed
and the stormy thoughts are stilled,
can divine light shine through
and we see what is truly here.
