Laughter

Laughter bubbles
Up

The effervescence of surprise
The gas released as the boundary of our expectations
Meets something outside.

At first touch it triggers warning
Alert in case of risk
And if it's found to contain danger
Fear is excreted to resist.

But if it's found to be innocuous
A not-unpleasant surprise,
The space of expectations allows entry
To this instance before unknown.

This emochemical integration
Entails emochemical reaction
And the side products are gases
That rise and laugh.
