Farm 0602

I'm writing these entries two days behind. Still, I attempt.

Sunday I woke up much refreshed, and surprisingly, my nose and arms unpeeled, though red. This day was relaxing. I woke up, showered, took time to myself, walked around the farm, asked Pilar about the local bus schedules, and then I read the first few chapters of "Nature", by Emerson, as I sat on the front porch couch (Oh, I also cleaned the front porch couch). It is a delightful read. It resonates with many of my ideas that brought me here. I read thoughtfully, quietly, with farm sounds and the rustling trees around me, letting it soak in. Brilliant. Touching.

At about seven PM I visited Mario to let him know I was ok (from last day's hike). I met his friend Jose, then I was asked to feed the dogs and goats, and to collect eggs. I couldn't find many of the places (like the goat food), but eventually it got done. At the end of the day, I left a cup of beans soaking in a pot, and went to sleep.
