Mellon Birthday Reflection

I am happy. After a quick self-evaluation, I notice that I am a happy person. I live, I observe, I decide, I experience, and I learn. And it is a big, diverse world, the one I live in. What an adventure awaits me! Or rather, how exciting the thought of my unknown destiny, which I fold and mold every instant, everywhere I am, whatever I do. How I design my future with my hands, with my feet, with my mouth, with my mind, with my voice, how wonderful my gift of learning, my inborn curiosity, that leads me to richer and fuller experiences. How magical my will, the unobservable spirit that fuels my Life. How marvelous my consciousness, perpetual observer, brave explorer, the Universe itself. The gifts of Choice, Knowledge, Will, Body, Emotions are mine for a lifetime. I smile with excitement at the thought.

What to do with a Universe and a lifetime of moments? Live them. Live the Universe. Live your moments. Embrace the truth of your absoluteness and your ephemerality combined. I am the One self in the Universe, and every wisp of air, speck of dust, ray of light, drop of water, trace of thought, gleam of emotion, and action is mine to exlpore. And I will never live this again. This moment, this place, this unique possibiltiy in the midst of a most vast realm of possibilities. It is unique, and it is mine alone. I seek to experience it with full earnest, to choose within it with my whole being, to Live a Life of rich moments and experiences, for Life is all we have.
