In Moscow!

It's been a WHILE since I posted anything here, but I thought I would say SOMETHING since I haven't written what's happened since I left off at the end of my first night in Prague.

Quick summary: After leaving Prague and saying goodbye to Ari and Susy, I arrived at Berlin, hoping to meet my MSN friend Darja there. I spent my first night at Generator Hostel (which by the way was VERY cost-effective), then met up with Darja the next day, but she told me she had left her key inside her locked apartment, and that the only other people who had the apartment keys were her roommates, who coincidentally had just left the city. So in the end, she had to leave the city to go get her keys, I stayed the next night in the same hostel, and we haven't seen each other since.

I then took a train to Munchen, and after seeing that there were no available hostels for the night in Munchen, I took an afternoon train to Fussen and stayed at a hostel there. The next day I visited Neuschwanstein castle, went back to Munchen, made a lightning visit in Dachau, and then took a train to Salzburg and arrived at night, where I stayed at a youth hostel.

I visited Salzburg for one day, and then took a train to Wien (Vienna) at night, where I met up with Christa! I stayed with Christa at her Haim for three nights, where I got to meet up a lot of her Haimmates (including Nathalie, Kalina, Sunna, and Susi) and was finally able to wash my clothes!

I then took a train to Venice, and when I arrived at the station, I met a russian girl called Marina, with whom I spent the whole day there, talking about all sorts of things and taking each other pictures. I took a train to Firenze that very night, but overslept and woke up in Rome at almost midnight! Luckily there was a train that was leaving for Milan and got delayed over an hour, so I got into it and was able to reach Firenze by around 3AM.

I slept at the train station that night, saw stuff in Firenze all day, then took a train to Rome that very night, where I booked a hostel and stayed there 3 nights. I saw most of the important things in Rome: Colisseum, St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican museums, and Fontana di Trevi. Then I took a train to Bari, bought a ferry ticket to Patras (Greece), met up with a couple of guys from Chile who were taking the same route as I was, took the overnight ferry to Greece, spent several hours in Patras (where we found everything closed because it was some kind of Holy Spirit holiday), took a train to Athens where we arrived at night, went to see the Acropolis, we fell asleep at the top of a rock mound just below the Acropolis, then saw Athens by day and took an overnight ferry boat to Crete that night, rented a car in Crete for two days, visited beaches, mountains, and drove through some of the most beautiful beach and mountain landscapes I have ever seen, partied near the beach, took another overnight ferry boat back to Athens, I left the two Chilean guys at their train (they went to Bulgaria), I spent the rest of the day in Athens, took a bus to the Athens airport that night, then took a plane to Moscow in the morning.

And that is where I am right now! I came to Moscow on Friday afternoon. I was SO lost that day... but very luckily I found a friendly guy and girl who very kindly guided me to the Red Square here in Moscow and left me off there. I then booked a hostel for a night, I stayed there that night, and then decided to stay a couple of nights more, so here I am, spending my third night here. I already bought my train ticket to Beijing (with a little help from a random Russian native who was happy to help me), it leaves on Tuesday, and now I'm figuring out what to do tomorrow and Tuesday, which are my last two days here. Then 6 days later I'll be in Beijing (hopefully), where I'll have to figure out what to do.

That's been it! For now.
