Words

Words interact with each other as operators and operands. They represent objects and concepts, cognizable entities, pointing to them as addresses into the substanding semantic space. As they arise into expression, they embody entities/values/statements and operations between them. And as they operate on one another, interact with each other and with the context in which they are expressed, they join and blend to embody new entities/values/statements. Like chemical elements and compounds operate on one another and with their environment, and either react and blend to embody new values, or simply sit with one another in inert company.

Nouns are the basest operands, embodying entities of sufficiently commonly recognized lore that they are useful to a relative majority of the people who use and encounter them. In correspondence to a mathematical context, they embody elements of a set/field/etc (Z, R, nxn matrices, etc).

Pronouns are implicit pointers to other entities, whether they be nouns or constructed values. They are prone to ambiguity if underspecified. In correspondence to a mathematical context, they embody variables (x, y, z, i, jλ, δ, etc).

Verbs denote a certain action, change, movement, event - a specific type of entity/operand. These can be modified by other operators to produce new/more specific types of actions/changes/events.

Adjectives are unary operators, which emphasise a particular quality of an entity or value. These are as diverse in their effect, direction, texture, magnitude, abstraction, and meaning as the semantic space is vast. Upon operating on a value, the adjective blends with the value to produce another value.
  • Adj(E1) = E2

Adverbs are unary operators, which operate on other operators. Again, the potential diversity of adverbs is as vast as the semantic space itself. Upon operating on an operator, the adverb blends with the operator to produce another operator. The transformations in matrix multiplication lend themselves fittingly as an analogue of the adverbial transformation.
  • Adv(Adj1) = Adj2
  • Adv(V1) = V2
  • Adv1(Adv2) = Adv3

Conjunctions join other entities together in specific manners. The various conjunctions embody different "techniques" of joining their operands, just as one can pour one fluid onto another, pour them mutually into a new container, drip one fluid onto another drop by drop, pour and stir, forcefully blend, apply or remove heat to both or either of the operands, separate them from each other with various methods, or perform similar joinings with solids, gases, radiation, or any mixture of the above.

In mathematics, many operators exist that serve the role of joining. In computer science, the general parameterized function also embodies the infinitely wide, deep, vast, and complex space of operations that can be applied to a plurality of entities/values in order to produce other new entities/values. Or more precisely, to produce new pointers to entities/values in the semantic space.

In similar manner, prepositions operate as a subset of conjunctions, specialized to indicate relative physical placement.

Determiners "tweak" other entities/values in order to point more precisely towards that which one wishes to evoke. Subscripts and superscripts in mathematical notation serve a similar role.

Interjections are mostly expressions of intent and/or of emotional state. As such, they mostly focus on the expresser rather than on his circumstances or on other objects.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

I often see some words used incompletely. Words that operate as conjunctions, for instance (though not always syntactically categorized as such), often lack or underspecify one or more of their parameters, which causes the resulting pointer to be ambiguous, and open to wide interpretation by the receiver. Ambiguity often leads to miscommunication, and this can disrupt and distort the flow of information and resources in a system such as the social one we inhabit.

Examples of such words are:

Need:

Indicates the factors that are required for one state to change to another. The needed operands for this word, then, are:
  1. The former state.
  2. The factors.
  3. The target state.
  • Need(FormerState, NeededFactors, TargetState)
Usage example: "I need a massage in order to feel good." Parameter values:
  1. Former state (implied): My present state, in which I do not feel good.
  2. Factors: Receiving a massage.
  3. Target state: A state in which I feel good.
Rarely would this sentence be spoken in this extended form. Most often one says "I need a massage", and most of its operands are implied, if only vaguely. In particular, two operands in the operation of "Need" are often elided. The former state is most often assumed to be the present time (or whichever time the tense of the statement indicates - past, future, etc). The target state is most often assumed to be a "better"/"more desirable" state than the former, though what that signifies is generally left to the receiver's (and often the speaker's) ambiguity.

Commonly uttered statements of "need" very often focus only on the factors needed, for the statements tend to be evoked from desires, often inchoate, and not from a clear understanding of:
  1. The process of change they describe, of
  2. The target state this process intends to reach, nor of
  3. The former state of affairs.
Very often, the meaning of "better" is unclear even in the speaker's cognition itself, and such ambiguity produces expression that dissipates energy in unclear/ineffective directions.

Too:

Indicates that a certain quality of an entity lies beyond a certain threshold, which revokes some specific status from that entity. The needed operands for this word, then, are:
  1. The entity.
  2. The quality.
  3. The revoked status.
  • Too(Entity, Quality, RevokedStatus)
Usage example: "The food is too hot for me to eat it." Parameter values:
  1.  Entity: Food
  2.  Quality: Hot
  3.  Revoked Status: Being eatable by me
Again, rarely would this sentence be uttered in its entirety. Most often a person would simply say "The food is too hot." or "It's too hot.", and the surrounding context - sitting at a dinner table, considering a plate of food atop it - would serve to imply the meaning with sufficient accuracy.

But if he were standing beside the dinner table, considering another person's plate, is the implied meaning clear? Is the food too hot for the speaker to eat? Or too hot for the other person to eat? Or does he find the warm air around him uncomfortable?

And if he were a food engineer standing beside a giant vat of industrially produced food, what is the meaning then? Is the food too hot for the current processing stage? Too hot for him to eat? Or is it the steel vat that is too hot?

Though such examples may seem inane, they intend to convey the fact that ambiguity (and thus miscommunication) can arise from small differences in wording and context that are often overlooked.

And if we say: "The world is too screwed up", "The system is too corrupt", "People are too stupid", "That problem is too hard", or "That's too bad", are we conveying useful information? Do we ourselves know the meaning we want to transmit? Can we identify the actual operands upon which "Too" operates? Or do we use such expressions simply as long placeholders to signify a general sense of dislike, frustration, unwillingness, and "UGGGGGH", while sending blame away in some vague direction?

So:

Indicates that a certain quality of an entity reaches or exceeds a certain threshold, which grants the entity some specific status. The operands of this word are:
  1. The entity.
  2. The quality.
  3. The granted status.
  • So(Entity, Quality, GrantedStatus)
Its meaning is effectively equivalent to that of "Too", but with opposite connotations for the status. "So" has the entity gaining a status past the threshold, while "Too" has it losing a status. For instance, the following two sentences are equivalent:
  • The food is SO hot that I cannot it.
  • The food is TOO hot for me to eat it.
The ambiguities and risks that arise with "So" (as well as with "Enough") are very similar to those found when using "Too". The GrantedStatus or RevokedStatus parameter is SO often absent, actually, that both words are presently widely used as synonyms of "Very", a unary operator. And while some semantic overlap between words is common in languages, I posit it is important to retain the meaning of words that serve a unique purpose, so as to not forget their structures, that is their operator functionality, from the widespread language as a whole.

I propose we all strive to clearly understand what we mean before we speak it. Only then can we truly direct the intent of our expressions towards clear targets, and allow the flow of intent and information through each of us and between us all to be clear, smooth, continuous, and effective.

Minimum Effort

The method of minimum effort was ingrained in my mind decades go.
In school, where the aims superseded reality. Where what we got seemed more important than what we were or what we knew, somehow....

People around me encouraged me and others to aim and focus on what we got, what we gained, what we attained, rather than on what we were, who we were, and what we learned. In school. And the lesser effort that we expended in order to attain a particular goal, the more "prestige" or "awe" was gained or perceived.

Then the goal to pursue became not growth or learning or truth. It became the attainment of something external, demonstrable. Grades, awards, ranks. Effects, regardless of the causes. Ends, regardless of the means.

The focus on "what we get" instead of "what we are". "Who we are", "what we grow into".

Millions of students and people and children and adults have this particular idea ingrained in their minds gradually, repeatedly, day in and day out, in schools, in corporations, in friend circles, in families. And every single time it amplifies the problem. When the focus is what we get and not who we are, we shall focus on the outwards, on what it looks like, on the outside, and it is then easy to forget and neglect the core of what we are, around which all the clothing and curtains around it hang. And through continued neglect, the channels to our core gather dust, rust, rot, and we lose contact with whom we truly are.

The Song of the Golden Dragon

The Song of the Golden Dragon tells the story
of He who felt His was the glory.
With wings of gold and breath of fire,
He sought to quench every desire.

His wings aloft, He flew up high,
for all to see Him in the sky.
And though He glided, swept, and soared,
the others didn't look above.

They rushed and worried about petty things,
such trifles as "to lose or win".
"What's wrong with them, could they be blind?
They only need to leave behind

their grip on what's so clearly junk,
and so soon would they escape their funk.
If they but knew that they could fly,
would they not join me in the sky?"

"To cure your ills, just look at Me,
notice My glory and then you'll see
your little worries need not fray
your spirit year after year away."

Trying again, this time He roared,
a thunderous cry that shook the floor.
The others heard, and some were stunned,
others applauded, others shunned.

But no one, He saw, understood
the message that He thought they should:
the golden wings and breath of fire
were theirs to wield if they just aimed higher.

So around the world He flew
searching for someone else that knew
the same core insight He felt His,
and seeing Him, would say "Yes! The Truth is This!"

What He really sought was recognition,
He craved others to see His Own fruition.
But no matter how many others claimed His praise,
none cured the hollow pain in his blaze.

His puzzling failure dragged him down
To the cave where shame and dark abound.
his gold scales tarnished, his fire diffused,
his great wings weakened from lack of use.

As time went on, he no more dared
to truly from his center share.
his truth was real, but no one saw
the essence that should make them awe.

So dragon shriveled, then forgot
his nature was not of earthly lot.
his steps turned heavy with gathered mire
and became a slave of his desires.

Oblivious, soon down there he walked
amidst the muddled, weary lot.
In fog of fear and leashed with shame,
he now looked down with no true aim.

And yet his fire stayed alive
just waiting to be let outside.
Every so often, it burned bright
to test whether the time was ripe.

As bright it burned, so sharp the shame
snarled and spit it out as blame.
he cried with anguish and regret
of the day he let himself forget.

And yet this pain was a reminder:
beyond it must lay something kinder.
But no seeing nor praise had cured his crave.
By which technique could he be saved?

And as he felt, and thought, and pondered,
sometimes he'd feel a flash of wonder.
Something that knew that all was right,
that each step was graced with delight.

He poked and prodded at his core,
enough to pierce a little bore.
And when he peeked, careful and keen,
the emptiness finally felt seen.

A stream of energy rushed through
from his own mind to this space anew.
And then the realization came:
twas but himself for which he yearned.

Twas not the others who could provide
what can only come from inside.
Our selves we first must love and meet,
then can we share ourselves complete.

And one by one, each truth then dawned
as his fire woke up and yawned
a licking flame to test the ground
where it awoke when it was found.

His wings, so long curled up and stored
rose and extended more and more.
And day by day, apace he woke,
to find a world covered in smoke.

In fog of fear and smoke of rush,
he saw dreams shattered and purpose crushed.
Same as him, others craved too
for other eyes to see their truth.

Once on that path, he understands,
the path to Self must be self-danced.
Each step and fall can help us learn
if we attend and strive to discern.

And now awake, astride, afire,
he sees it's needless to admire.
Our gifts and skills are best applied
to treat each other with love and kind.

Let all of us receive the light
that will show us our real might.
No oracle to guide the way
except within, which always stays.

And in the others' wandering eyes,
remember that past their disguise
the life within burns just the same,
they feel its love and joy and pain.

Let us practice the art of care,
by looking in deep as we dare
to know ourselves to the very core,
that center whence all life explores.

Seeing life here, we see life there.
It's suddenly just everywhere.
And if the rules of love we apply,
soon will we all together fly.

Trust allows Flow

To cultivate trust
Is to clean and heal and open the channels
Through which flow flows.

Flow of sharing
Flow of distribution
Flow of emotions
Flow of ideas
Flow of stories
Flow of objects
Flow of peoples
Flow of materials
Flow of actions
Flow of effort
Flow of care
Flow of energy
Flow. All flow.

Through open and healthy channels,
Flow moves and permeates
All corners where it can help
Relieve and fortify pressures,
From the overs to the unders
Uninterrupted and unhesitant.

We can identify where flow is checked.
In our pursed lips,
In our locked purses,
In our evasive eyes,
In our stemmed impulses,
In our fearful rushes,
In our despondent spirits,
In our hesitant words,
In our unchosen compulsions,
In our clogged throats,
In our secret desires,
In our hidden resentments,
In our paralyzed choice.

If we take the time to feel the block,
To understand it, and to know it,
We can know how it came to be.
And only then can we take on the task
Of neutralizing the cause whence it came
If we so will.

Psychometry

Three days ago I practiced a psychometry exercise for the first time in my life. It consisted of feeling the properties of an object that I did not know nor see beforehand, or of its relationship to its owner, by simply holding (not grasping) the object in one hand, wrapped in a paper towel, and with eyes closed, speaking out all the words/sensations/qualities that came to me as I attempted to feel the object with attention. I found the results valuable, and I would like to share them with others.

I practiced this technique four times, each time with a different object, and with immediate feedback from the object's owner only on the fourth object. These were the objects used, in the following order:
  1. Tusk pendant.
  2. Swiss army knife.
  3. Translucent vial with liquid.
  4. Watch.
The objects were revealed to me only after the end of the exercise.

The feather is explained below.

Here are the attributes/qualities/words I spoke out for the various objects, in original Spanish and translated English, color-coded according to the following subjective accuracy scale:

  • Certain relation
  • Likely relation
  • Dubious relation
  • Relation not found

(Tusk pendant)

  • Chocolate - Chocolate (due to the rope color)
  • Medicina - Medicine
  • Águila - Eagle (The pendant used to be attached to an eagle's feather, also seen above).
  • Lazo - Rope/Cord
  • Triángulo, pirámide - Triangle, Pyramid (due to the tusk's pointed shape)
  • Blanco - White

(Swiss army knife)

  • Rosado - Pink
  • Verde - Green
  • Martillo/cuchillo - Hammer/knife
  • Ocho - Eight
  • Cordón - Cord
  • Amarillo - Yellow
  • De arriba - From above.

(Translucent vial)

  • Maquillaje de mujer - Woman's makeup (due to container shape)
  • Polvo - Powder
  • Salida - Exit
  • Papel - Paper
  • Rojo - Red (due to the liquid's color - grape juice)
  • Un feto formado de luz - A fetus made of light
  • Verde - Green
  • Zipper - Zipper

(Watch)

  • Suave - Soft (Wristband texture)
  • Agujero - Hole (Due to the holes in the wristband)
  • Hilo - Thread (Due to the buckle needle in the wristband)
  • Aguja - Needle (The watch needles)
  • Blanco - White (Color of watch face)
  • Azul - Blue (Color of wristband)
  • Origen: Nevada - Origin: Nevada
  • Material: Seda - Material: Silk (The wristband felt soft like silk)
  • Material: Plástico - Material: Plastic (Synthetic wristband material)
  • Emociones: Libertad/desdén/tristeza - Emotions: Freedom/disdain/sadness
    • The watch was bought one day before an important final test that he failed.

I do not summarize these results in numerical form, for I do not believe it is within my current capabilities to quantify randomness and probabilities in the vast and intricate semantic space. I also feel unable to record in a provable manner the subtle impressions I felt beneath each word. For example, the triangle/pyramid words, though they do not precisely describe the tusk, came from an inner sensation of pointiness, which matched almost exactly what I felt when I saw the tusk for the first time, and the feeling of silk I felt within matched what I felt when I first saw the wristband texture.

From my own perspective, however, the degree of accuracy attained seems sufficient for me to ascertain the existence and validity of psychic abilities in humans like myself.

Here is the dialogue that occurred.

(Tusk pendant)

26:15: Me atrajo! ¿Cuál, ese mismo? Sí. Ahh!
26:20: Hace unos días, estaba en YouTube. Y estaba mirando esto, esto de Human Design, un poco... aprendiendo. Pero me sale este app. Pero no era ___ cualquiera___. Me pareció, "oye!

30:08: Aplicaciones? Sí. En la vida cotidiana.

Celebrate our Failures

Celebrate our failures.

I think we humans do not celebrate/acknowledge/display our failures and pains nearly as much as we do our successes and pleasures.

This is likely because:
- Acknowledgement of failure is perceived as a display of weakness, whereas
- Acknowledgement of success is perceived as a display of strength.

And in an individualistic, competitive context, the strong survive and the weak succumb.

But in a shared, cooperative context, relative strength and weakness become but variances in any mixture of dimensions within the one flow that induce flavor, diversity, and multitudes of values and products for everyone to experience and share. Just like our global market has achieved in recent decades, to a point.

And in this shared, cooperative context, relative strength and weakness gradually become obsolete terms. What is then of import is truth and communication, so that the correct information, resources, and efforts may be efficiently distributed, and reach all the recipients that may best use them, who can then continue to share their own gifts and products forward within the one flow.

Thus I believe that acknowledgement of Truth is of value. Of both successes and failures. Of both pains and pleasures. It begins with acknowledgement to oneself - only then can it bloom onto acknowledgement to others.

I believe such a practice may help us realize more clearly the hidden fears and shames we carry within. Once they are seen and felt, we can then choose to change or dissolve them so that we may be liberated from them, and again tread the spaces both inner and outer, which these hidden stagnancies once blocked and befouled.

And as we become thus liberated, Truth more freely flows through us, out from us, into us, and amongst us. Then I believe we naturally realize the vast benefit of confidently stepping forward into a shared, cooperative society, and of leaving needless competition behind.

Description of Ecstatic Dance

(From a personal message sent tonight):

..................
So I thought to send you a description of that angle of my experience, from what I remember from that night. As my mind conversed with my body, impulsed and guided by music the mediator and lubricant, all the pending expressions between the two were said out loud. My mind flowed through the music and conversed with the body through simultaneous thought, bodily impulse, and dance, each moment a new stage for the next lines in the dialogue. And saying and saying and saying and saying out loud each one, all they had left pending to say, eventually they found a synthesis, or found themselves with nothing left to say, and then they both felt peace. Peace, mutual understanding, and an unneed to do anything at all. And then the voice of my soul could be heard... soft and clear, distinct from the relative ruckus that my mind-body duality was engaged in before. I felt then a dialogue, calm and steady and dotted with mental disbelief, between my mind and my soul. A channel of communication was reached via a point of transmission somewhere in my head, and I strove to listen and understand the signals that my soul sent. I then remembered the life that each of us is in essence, and how that life living through my body is the exact same as that which lived and looked out from all the dancing bodies around me, despite the mental separations with which my mind continues to categorize and feel useful and worthy. And at the end of the music set, when the speakers sounded with a chanting choir, I felt resonance between this music and the mind/soul connection I felt, and I prayed for the growth of the realisation within all of us about the same life that we all are and share. .....................

Macromulticellularity

The fact that countries fight to capture/absorb more territory/resources into their domain
is a symptom of the (self/prize/recognition/fear)-centered perspective that still dominates nations' politics.

It means the nation believes itself to be the owner,
the author of the choices of its regions and citizens,
and not their steward.

A successful predator,
and not an attentive caretaker.
The former has succeeded and passively relishes on its soon-neglected trophies,
while the latter is on active duty - in living, growing engagement with its parts.

In a balanced system,
Land and citizens are not conquered and prized possessions of the nations,
but are voluntary contributors to the well-being of their overarching domains,
for the benefit of themselves and of their neighbors,
with the knowledge that all together
can each of them be better off
than all of them apart.
Macromulticellularity.

And when this is not the case,
let the peoples split and shift
until we learn
what we have not yet learned.

Moon Talk

The moon shines bright
On my path tonight.
I feel a doubt, so inside I talk.
I feel a clear "just go on, walk".

If tonight is time to ask the questions
Then I shall ask.

How do I align my efforts and my finances to the purpose of my soul?
"Continue. Expressing, showing, fully being and doing."
And will I know it before it happens?
"No."

Trust remains.

And what is my purpose?
"To be fully you."
