(Written sometime in 2006)
The world abounds with irony. No doubt about it. I'm more convinced now that all happenings have a certain will of their own.
My last ironic experience happened today. I've been applying a special medical cream on my feet to eliminate a fungi problem for a whole month now. Today, exactly, was the last day of my treatment. I've been applying this medical cream twice a day and avoiding tennis shoes. Now they look almost completely healthy.
But, oh coincidence! I was invited to play soccer today (which rarely ever happens), and of course, I had to wear tennis shoes. It just so happens that we played at night, the field was soaked, and there were water puddles all around. My shoes got soaked, my feet got soaked, and well, it's like everything that was supposed to NOT happen, happened. I was taking really good care of my feet, and just the day when they were supposed to be OK, I just did the complete opposite. But it was all a coincidence. And that's what makes it weird.
And now I'm drying off, while I think about irony and fate.
(...
And isn't it ironic? Don't you think?)
