from its neighboring streams of earth, wind, light, sensations, thoughts
as the bottle shapes the wine
as the river shapes the delta
as the planet's magma shapes our lands
as particles dance each other into spirals
as ocean currents shape our weather
as our bones shape our muscles
as life breathes and shapes each other
with air
with looks
with words
with touch
music can be gentle sublimation
from the pool of a calm spirit
like mist from a lake as the sun rises
like a cool breeze from the river
it can be lively expression
like swift gales along the cliff shores
like steady winds in the highlands
it flows through us
like breath and water
and salt and matter
when allowed
